Didriksons Malawarra: fully waterproof, windproof and breathable shell jacket
Didriksons have become well renowned for their kids' jackets, but if you're a first timer then let me list the many features which make a Didriksons' jacket indispensable.
Of course they are fully waterpoof and windproof with all seams taped. In addition, the Malawarra is fully breathable, ensuring comfort for the wearer at all times. The cuffs are adjustable, which is a must for growing kids - nothing worse that jackets that swallow up hands! The adjustable hem allows for a tighter fit and prevents body heat escaping, rather locking it in to keep kids warmer. The hood is 2-way adjustable, which means that it stays up when needed and the wearer can see where he/she is going whilst still having fun.
The safety features are a huge plus: detachable hoods release when they get caught and reflective strips to the body, hood and arms keep kids visible as the sun goes down and the headlights come on. Didriksons genius 'extend size' system allows a hidden seam in the lining of the sleeves to be unpicked so as to lengthen the arms by another size. Kids grow in their arms and legs just before they grow in height and chest so it makes sense to lengthen the sleeves and squeeze another season out of a jacket that still fits perfectly well in the body area.
Adding waterproof trousers in either Polyester weave or wipe clean PU makes this a versatile jacket for all weather fun. Security glove loops found in the sleeve ends help avoid that frustrating loss of a glove. The Malawarra is a classic Didriksons kid's jacket with all those must have features that will protect them perfectly from spring through into the autumn and winter, with the addition of a few layers,
